At Ntji Mothapo Primary School, we believe in the power of giving back. Our outreach initiatives are designed to inspire compassion, build community connections, and teach our learners the importance of social responsibility.
What is School Outreach?
Outreach is our way of extending kindness, support, and care beyond the school gates. Through various projects and campaigns, we aim to:
- Support those in need within our local community
- Promote empathy, generosity, and civic responsibility among learners
- Encourage partnerships with local organizations and families
- Strengthen the values of Ubuntu – “I am because we are”
Key Outreach Activities:
🥫 Food and Clothing Drives
We collect non-perishable food items, warm clothing, and blankets for local families in need, especially during winter and the holiday season.
📚 Book and Stationery Donations
We organize donation drives to supply books, pencils, and school materials to under-resourced learners and nearby schools.
❤️ Visits to Community Centers
Learners and staff visit local orphanages, old age homes, and disability centers to share time, gifts, and joyful performances.
🌍 Environmental Clean-up Campaigns
Through clean-up days and recycling projects, we promote environmental awareness and take pride in keeping our surroundings clean.
🧼 Health and Hygiene Awareness
We occasionally partner with local clinics to educate learners and the community on health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and wellness.
Learner Involvement:
Our outreach programs are learner-centered. From planning to participation, learners are given opportunities to:
- Lead initiatives through classroom or school leadership
- Develop teamwork and organizational skills
- Experience the value of service in action
